A big snare fill starts out this rock beat, which begins with a backbeat with a few open hi-hat hits on the up beats of three and four. An interlude features the hi-hat and kick drum alone, then the full beat comes back. These are the two main sections of the beat, until an open hi-hat bridge brings the energy way up and the beat much louder. This returns again later, then a steady crash cymbal maintains the loud dynamic. The drum beat ends on a beat with the snare on the down and up beats of beat two for a few bars.
