A quick introduction on the snare, toms and cymbals leads this track into a cool, bluesy swing that sits comfortably rin the pocket. There is a slight bass overtone on the kick, and the ride cymbal is up front and personal in the first part. A quick snare roll/ cymbal fill transitions the song into the second part where the hi-hats take over from the ride, changing the dynamic and giving a stripped down feel. A brief rest at 00:52 followed by a ritenuto (slightly slower, expressive tempo)fill on the toms, then we're back to the first part with the ride, and fills coming from snare rolls and cymbal accents. The track cycles through these parts adding some effective fills on the toms, snare, and hats -- especially at the midpoint where the toms are featured, and then the whole thing comes in for a landing with a big cymbal and toms finish at the end.
