For the main groove, we have a backbeat being played with the snare on 2 and 4, and the kick on 1, 3 and the "and" of 3. Hi-hat is played with some pedal work, and ghost notes decorate and fill out the drum beat. A second section is played more or less the same but with ride cymbal. These sections alternate, complete with fills and embellishments. At one point the beat drops out momentarily for a couple beats. Closer to the 2 minute mark, a crash cymbal keeps time. The beat disappears entirely for about four bars as well.

Love It....I play guitar in a classic rock band and we are trying to write originals. The drummer is a family man with no time, so I was using boring one beat drum tracks, Now that I have found this wealth of tracks it has allowed me to have an open canvase to try new riffs and finally put together songs with some depth, tempo changes, stops etc. I have even been able cut and paste the tracks to suit my needs with my Reaper Recording Software....thanks very much. I will probably purchase the rights to use these tracks because the quality is so good they are better than anything I could record with out going to an expensive studio...thanks

Great track but I hate the silent break in it.

This drummer's rhythm is spot on, and there are some nice fills, but the thing I really like about this track is how it's built for the "big chorus". You get a chorus-sounding rhythm for a few measures which is punctuated by ride cymbals for the third go-around. Really easy to record to.
