This track is played in 6/4, and starts out very quietly with kick, rim clicks, and a shaker. Tambourine can be heard along with the rim clicks, as well. About 45 seconds in, the shaker and tambourine are replaced by hi-hat, and soon after a snare drum picks up the volume for the track with a ride cymbal accompanying it. It then returns to rim clicks and hi-hat after a few bars and begins alternating between the softer and louder dynamics, with a few fills thrown in here and there. When the snare is playing, ghost notes can be heard quietly. At one point, an open hi-hat provides a new dynamic with the snare pattern.
