This track has a fast 16th note pattern played with brushes on the snare with some kick drum on the first beat of each measure. Snare accents happen on the 2 and 4 of each bar. This keeps going for about a minute and a half before dropping out to nothing but the occasional cymbal tap for about 20 seconds. Then, the 16th notes start quietly building up on the cymbals and the snare returns. The beat once again drops down to quiet cymbals around 2:40, then returns from 3:06 to the end. Small fills and embellishments are throughout.

I love this track - just recorded a tune with a Bruce Hornsby-type feel and it worked perfectly!
