Sounding straight out of a Bob Marley record, this drum track is full on reggae from the introduction fill. Featuring some reggae hi-hat work with some cross stick rim clicks and sparse kick drum patterns, soon the kick starts hitting 8th notes and the hi-hat starts playing some triplet patterns. Most of the time in the quieter sections, the kick is only played on 2 and 4. Snare makes occasional appearances in fills, then replaces the rim clicks eventually. At one point the beat drops completely for a couple bars.
