The snare and kick drum pattern that starts this track off sounds like a mixture of down home country music and New Orleans jazz. This continues when the pattern switches to rim clicks over the syncopated kick drum part for a quick period before the snare returns. The snare part includes march-like ghost notes and briefly features a hi-hat, then about two minutes into the track a swinging tom pattern comes in. It returns to the snare groove to end it.
